Another effort to close the equity gap at BW. Students received wireless hotspots today. Chromebooks can go home for classwork. The hotspots will connect through district servers and firewalls. Students will access Google accounts and approved sites. #1townschoolcommunity

What a great day to be starting up school again after the break. It was wonderful to see our Roadrunners back at school. #1townschoolcommunity #bwexperience

The Great Wall of Darryl Tindell has been rebuilt. Last time we shared how our MOT Staff waxed the gym floors. Today, while 50 other staff were enjoying vacation, Darryl, Ruben, and Misty rebuilt the Great Wall without major injury. Splinters don't count. #1townschoolcommunity

Thank you @buttonwillowusd, staff, students, & families for making the Winter Program awesome. Watching preschoolers perform, students performing for the first time on stage in 8 years, new leaders shining, and the community coming together in one room. #1townschoolcommunity

Our new flag team will perform at tonight's Winter Program. There will also be a few surprises that only a select few know about. Performance starts at 6 pm. Seating for parents is located in the chairs and bleachers in the middle section. Enjoy the evening! #1townschoolcommunity

Incorporating writing, academic language and @next_gen_math with standards based teaching is making a difference with BW students. @mrs_younger_ & @teachlopez123 led today's focus on looking at student work. Thank you @caedpartners for a great partnership #1townschoolcommunity

Awesome start today! We heard 3 & 4 year olds sing "S-A-N-T-A, and Santa is his name--o". After singing, Santa showed up to listen to the preschoolers. Thank you @aeraenergyllc for sending elves to help Santa. The BW office staff had a picture with Santa. #1townschoolcommunity

Congratulations to Mrs. Yanez's class for earning @Achieve3000 Read to Succeed Contest.

A busy day in BW! Our soccer teams played Maple. Our 4th & 5th grade attended the Nutcracker. Our resource center provided food assistance to Buttonwillow. Our food commodities team of Susan, Sylvia, and Isela do wonders in the community. #1townschoolcommunity

You can send your children to school. The power is out throughout the Buttonwillow community. School will be in session. Power is expected to be returned to the campus at 11:45. All safeguards will be in place. Thank you.

The last staff meeting before break called for a gingerbread house competition including most edible least likely to be a house, most creative, and cleanest. #1townschoolcommunity

Another fun evening for our girls in the BW STEM Academy. Pizza, photo booth, cookie decorating, and most importantly time spent with mentors before the holidays. @smallschoolda #1townschoolcommunity
